About Me

Who Am I?

I’m Manish, a London-based photographer working primarily with medium format. I’m drawn to quiet, in-between moments, the ones that often go unnoticed, but carry the most meaning. My approach is calm and intentional, focusing on capturing images that feel natural, timeless, and true to the moment.

Approach

I don’t approach photography as something to direct heavily. Instead, I create space for things to unfold naturally, allowing people to feel comfortable and present. Using medium format slows everything down in the best way. It encourages a more thoughtful process, where each frame is considered, resulting in images with depth, softness, and lasting presence.

Background

Photography started as a personal interest and gradually became something more meaningful. Alongside my work in the tech industry, it has grown into a serious creative pursuit.

Over time, I’ve worked across portraits, events, and personal projects, always with the same intent: to capture something honest.

Tools

I primarily shoot on Fujifilm’s medium format system for its depth, colour, and subtle rendering as explained in the page Why Medium Format?

For faster-paced environments, I also work with a full-frame Sony setup, adapting where needed without compromising intent.

Human touch

Outside of photography, I enjoy building PCs, collecting vinyl, running, playing badminton, and travelling. I’m always drawn to good light, good music, and interesting stories.
